Thermoplastics and injection moulding processes

Date

Start

14 Apr 26

End

24 Apr 26

Target

Managers, middle, and senior executives of companies seeking to improve their knowledge in the field of injection moulding technologies.

General Objectives

To equip trainees with solid skills in polymers, their main properties, and injection moulding production techniques, relevant to understanding the characteristics of products after processing and under service conditions.

Specific Objectives

  • To know thermoplastic materials and understand their classification not only at the structural level, but also at the commercial level;
  • Recognizing the importance of pre-processing raw materials;
  • Understanding the influence of incorporating recycled raw materials in the production process;
  • Identify and characterize the phases of the injection moulding cycle;
  • To understand the structure of a thermoplastic injection moulding machine, identify its functional units, and recognize the auxiliary equipment used in the injection moulding process.
  • To understand the construction of a mould for the production of plastic parts and to identify its functional systems;
  • To distinguish the main operating parameters and variables and to understand their effect on the injection process and on the characteristics and performance of the components produced.
